YOU SHALL DANCE BEFORE YOU DIE
Concept photographs for a published article with the Contemporary Food Lab. The article is about dancing on the border of exciting and dangerous. Each image in itself is displaying a different type of danger. The Centershock sweets come from a pop product world, that screams of thrill. Pink worked to accelerate this meaning. Rosemary, within this article becomes a poisonous protagonist, yet more of a silent and unnoticed one, using its essential oils. I chose to work with pastel tones of the herb’s colour tending towards poison green. The live octopus kills the one eating it, through choking. Symbolising the danger for the one swallowing it, I gave it a very saturating almost drowning colouring. Find it published here.
